New cancer

Hi everyone I have just been told I have lung cancer at age 46 and I was confused on the options I was given. I have a 9cm tunour on my top left lobe. I was told can have surgery straight away with chemo. Or immunotherapy then maybe surgery at a later date. So am stuck on what's best

thank you

  • Hi there,

    Welcome to Cancer Chat.

I'm not sure how much information you were given by the doctor about each option, but it's of course important that you're as informed as possible about it all so that you can decide. And also that you have the opportunity to talk through any questions you have.

If you feel you could do with more information, or if you have questions or concerns, do give your doctor a call.

Our nurses are also available if you'd like to talk things through at all. You can reach them on freephone 0808 800 4040 - Monday-Friday, 9-5.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
