Grade 3 breast cancer

**trigger warning - sorry this is a bit negative**

I was diagnosed in February with ER positive HER 2 negative IDC originally grade 2 but post surgery upgraded to grade 3. Lymph nodes are clear so it’s stage 1 but as I’m only 35 I will be having chemo which I’m ok with. I’m just worried about after treatment, from what I see on this site and videos I’ve been watching on YouTube it seems like even stage 1 always comes back at some point. Is this true or are there women out there who never get a recurrence? I’m hoping there are and they are just not on sites like this any more, but it feels like every day I see another secondary diagnosis story and it feels inevitable. Sorry again for being negative.

  • I get that completely, it’s all so daunting. I hated feeling menapasal too! But it’s wasn’t forever. I have put on around a stone, but I hope to lose it afterwards.

Have you had your children ? Not to be nosey though but maybe you could freeze your eggs. I have had my children but I hope I can have one more at the grand old age of 45 after my 5 years   ( we were trying before, I was diagnosed at 38) As long as my periods re start. The hormone tablets become second nature I don’t even think about it now.
    Xxx

  • I have 2 children, but we did want 3. My husband has latched onto them saying there is research to suggest it’s safe to take a break from hormone therapy after 2 years to have a baby but I’m not so sure this is a good idea xx

  • I have 2 boys aged 12 and 15.,  maybe I will chat to my doctor and see what she says about it.
    how old are yours xx

  • I have 2 boys as well, a 3 year old and 18 month old xx

  • Cute, they will keep you going.. Hope you have lots of family. Start cooking batch food for the freezer, you won’t want too cook when your having Chemo xxx

  • Hi snow-drop hope you are well, I’m starting my chemo tomorrow hit me with your cold capping tips if you have a minute :) xx
