I'm sorry to hear that your son is experiencing a second hair loss now that he is in the maintenance phase of his treatment plan. 

We know that for many people hair loss can be a very emotional side effect to live with. Hopefully if we've anyone here on the forum who has had similar experiences to your son they will reply to your post.

I also wanted to give you this link for a charity called Shine Cancer Support which offers support to people diagnosed with cancer in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. They also offer support to family and friends as well but it may be that your son is able to connect with others who have similar experiences through their support networks as well.
