As 2021 comes to a close many of us will be reflecting on the events of the past year. The good, the bad, and the downright ugly parts of the past 12 months.

Indeed, the last 2 years have been unprecedented in the challenges that we have all faced in our daily lives. And for those of us who have had to factor in cancer as well, those challenges have been magnified.

I know that many of you have found support and friendship here in the Cancer Chat community. You’ve been able to share your triumphs, console each other during difficult times, give advice and support to others who find themselves on similar journeys. And while 2022 may hold a lot of uncertainty for many people, you can be sure that Cancer Chat will still be here to offer support to those who reach out for help.

I also just wanted to remind anyone who may be finding things particularly difficult at the moment that the Samaritans are available 24/7 365 days a year with a listening ear.

As we step forwards into 2022, I think we all hope for some happier times despite the hurdles that may be placed in our way but however you’re feeling we want you to know that you’re in our thoughts and we send our very best wishes to you all.
