  • Hello Annie,

I am so sorry for your loss. The last few months must have been so hard for you and it must have been a rather painful experience to see your husband spend so much time in hospital as a result of his reaction to chemotherapy. I can understand why you are wondering whether it would have been better for him not to have chemotherapy given the nasty side effects he suffered. I think you did the right thing in persevering with his treatment at the time as I assume it was what was recommended by his medical team. So try not to feel bad about this but instead focus on the fact that despite all these unfortunate side effects, you did everything you could at the time and tried the best treatment options available to him. You probably would have felt much worse if you hadn't given this chemotherapy treatment that was offered to him a shot. So you did everything you could to support him there is no doubt about that.

I hope that you will hear from others here who have faced a similar situation and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

    Best wishes,
