Lost my son 25

4 months and he was gone .he passed on the 27th april.he was 25 ..life seems so unfair he was my bestfriend .he had sarcoma a rare cancer that started inhis thigh travelled to his lungs and bones .it still a massive shock why did this happen we  had his funeral last week none of this seems real im so heartbroken will i ever mend .your child is not ment to go before you love zoe x

  • Oh my, life is so crule, and I don't think it gets harder then loosing a child ... esp one so young ... we lost my granddaughter to acute myeloid leukaemia a few months ago... she was 18, and that heartache of knowing it will never feel right or o.k ... it's a pain we have to live with .... xx

I so hope you have close family to support you, and hold your hand ... I think the cord between a mother and child, never goes ... it will hold you together till you hold him again ... till then you hold him in your heart, and take him with you tucked up safe now, where no one can hurt him again ...

One of My granddaughters favorite songs which we played at her farewell was "good times" by all time low ... about remembering the good times ... not those memories cancer wants us to remember .. it wants us to just remember the cancer then it gets us as victims too ... don't let it ...

    Sending a vertual hug... Chrissie x x

  • Hi Zoe,

I just wanted to reply to your post to offer our condolences to you. I can only imagine how incredibly tough this must be and no doubt it must feel raw and cruel and everything else besides.

You've had a lovely reply from Chrissie and I hope that this forum can offer some small support to you at this time, especially in reaching out to others who may have experienced something similar.

Do keep speaking to others around you - or us on here - as it's helpful to talk and to get that support from other people.

If ever you feel you'd like further support, do have a look at the organisation Cruse as they offer some valuable resources and also a helpline.

Take care and look after yourself.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
