Hi MichaelFrank,
I'm so sorry for your loss. My mum passed away on 7th December and her and my dad had been married 50 years this year.
It's such a sad time and I know how difficult it is.
Are you able to stay in touch with your family over the phone or by video call?
My dad is missing my mum lots and very tearful but he has found going through old photos and remembering the happy memories helpful. He's made one of the bedrooms into a sitting room with her special things in there and some lovely photos. It really feels she is still around in the house. I'm sure your wife is still around you too.
My friends who have been through loss of such a close relative have told me to take it hour by hour, just concentrate on what you need to do then and there to get you through the day. Take it one day at a time and eventually things start to feel more comfortable.
Sending love your way
