April 2019 my husband and I were devastated when our son of 32 years was diagnosed with upper jaw bone sarcoma, an extremely rare cancer. He started what I saw as a very aggressive form of chemo, he tolerated 8 out of 12 as his body could not handle it and he now suffers with neuropathy in his feet and legs. July 2019 my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer, he had a cough for some time it spread rapidly to his liver and lymph nodes sadly he passed away August 2019. November 2019 Our son had major surgery to remove all the bone on the right side of his face. He was due to have reconstruction June 2020 but unable to due to lock down. His caner returned and August 2020 we were told it was terminal and nothing more could be done. I don't know how I'm coping but we take one day at a time. He has 4 children aged 1 to 12. We will bring Xmas early this year. I don't know how long we have but I hope we have one last Christmas. Cancer is a cruel illness, it knows no age and is hard on those around them.
