Loss of husband.

Hi,

I lost my husband to aggressive diffuse B cell lymphoma a week ago, he was 56 yrs old and only diagnosed in late April.

We had been together for nearly 30yrs and I am just devastated.

We spent all our time together and never had children. I feel so alone and am struggling with the loss of the love of my life, my best friend, my rock.

I just don't know how to survive this? The feeling of loss & heartbreak is totally overwhelming.

  • Hi Denise,

I am so sorry for your loss, must be even harder to lose your husband esp when you have children.

  • Hi, I lost my husband in November 11 months ago. I was 56 and wanted to die with him. Please take 1 day at a time. That's what I did in fact I just felt I'd survived that day. The pain is unbearable but I did write some letters to him which helped slightly. Can't say like life gets easier but hope somehow you can cope. I still have my husband's ashes and his belongings and I can't do anything with them not even look at them but am managing to get by with life. Hope you can too as I'm sure he would want you to. My thoughts are with you.
