Dad. Prostate to bone.

My lovely Dad , had prostate bossiest for years no cancer they said. He suddenly got a blockage and was rushed in and catheterised. Urologist said no cancer and didn't recommend tusk due to breathing/blood pressure.
dad used catheter sticks for I'd say about 5 months then got 4 UTIsbin row one sepsis, the different hospital with confusion said prostate to bone exstensive. Packed off home during covid with hormone treats. Does three months after following sporadic confusion , 8 hour coma (advised dieing too late for palliative) came round like Dad , back to agitation , meds, death.

im traumatised. It's awful. I don't think he should of died. Covid - no docs coming out.
just horrific.?

  • Hello jube,

I can completely understand why you are feeling traumatised by this awful experience. Covid certainly has had a major impact recently and it's really sad that you feel that your dad was left alone.

Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. I just wanted to send you our sincere condolences on behalf of the Cancer Chat team. Rest assured that you are not alone. Others here will have been through a similar experience recently and I hope they will be along shortly to share it with you.

    Best wishes,
