Lost

On May 28th 2020 we  (my brothers, sister and I) were told the devastating news that our mum had stage 4 cancer and that she was too weak for treatment and given 6 months... oh my god..how do you  even process that news... we quickly surrounded mum with more love and starting building more memories and on 1st July she died... she suffered at the end and death was the kindest way out and we found ourselves telling mum to stop fighting,, that we love her and to let go.. so she did.. now we miss her and feel totally lost and empty... Cancer is a horrible illness but the Dr's and the nurses are amazing ..

I'm so very sorry to hear that your Mum passed away just last week. I'm sure that the last few weeks have been very difficult but I'm glad that you were able to spend some time together as a family during her last weeks and that the health professionals were so supportive.

It's common to feel lost when a loved one dies. Grief brings all sorts of emotions to the surface and it can be a real rollercoaster. It sounds as if you're a close family and I hope that you will be able to support each other in the weeks and months ahead.

If you, or any of the family, feel that you would benefit from speaking to someone then I'd recommend having a look at the Cruse website.

    Best wishes,
