Womb cancer

I don't know why I keep being refused information or not given correct facts about my wife's condition.

She died 3 weeks ago from metastatic endometrial cancer. In the hospital we were told it was cancer of womb (primary) spread to lungs bone marrow and lymphatic system + kidney failure. We found out this 3 days before I lost my girl.

Our GP said it was menapause and tests in December proved it.

Anyone heard of this before. Is this how womb cancer is discovered.

The research I find says the opposite.

I would be interested other experiences of this.

Is my anger at GP justified?

  • Hello Allison_my_girl

It's absolutley natural to want answers if you have questions surrounding Allison's diagnosis and treatment and I'm sorry that at the moment those don't seem to be forth coming.

In the first instance I'd suggest getting in touch with the hospital PALS department. It is their role to offer confidential advice, support and information on health-related matters. If you are still unhappy then they will be able to give you more information about what the next steps are.

If you'd like to speak to one of our nurses then you're welcome to give them a call. They may be able to help offer some advice and support. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

    Best wishes,
