My Uncle was about 64 and he had to be rushed to the hospital but then the nuse and doctor said that he had died to my grandad and then my grandad told my dad and then my dad told me and I was 12/13 when he died.
I'm sorry to read your post and I want to offer you my sincerest condolences for your loss.
Many of our members have also lost loved ones to cancer so will understand what you're going through at the moment and will hopefully pop by soon to offer their support and advice.
In the meantime, try to take things a day at a time and do keep talking about how you're feeling with your family as I'm sure they will want to do all they can to help you through this difficult time.
