so sorry to here what has happened to you. It was just 8 months ago when my husband passed away suddenly from unexpected lung cancer age only 54. It’s still hard to believe it’s happened to us, I have two lovely and amazing children 16 and 19 . We had 26 happy years together and married 19 years. He to was really fit and health the only sign was a cough May last year then by the time they got around to discover it was cancer and 1 round of chemo it was too late he passed away 9th September.We are all still keeping strong and keep going carrying on with life. But finding these times very difficult as started to go back to work and getting out now I have gone backwards. How are you doing ? Nice to talk to people that are going through similar situation
Hi, it's two months now and not getting easier for me yet, i think harder if anythjng. We went to see some friends yesterday for the first time since he went who have children the same age, we usually meet as two families. was painful without Tom there. ..my 13 year old seemed to enjoy it but had massive meltdowns back home afterwards, I think it was hurting her too. Dreading her going back to school and all her friends talking about their Dads etc..we haven't started any counseling yet but going to soon, I find it painful seeing kids every where out on their bikes, her Dad and her loved mountain biking together. There's so many reminders in the world that hurt so much, I've loved the lock down and not having visitors turning up when I don't feel like seeing anyone...how have you found it?
