Brother passed away from Neuroendocrine gallbladder tumour

Hi everyone,

My brother passed away a few months ago with Neuroendocrine gallbladder tumour.. he was only 28 years old and passed away 9 months after diagnosis.
I know this a rare cancer and it was even rarer to get something like this at his age.
As the months have went on after his passing, I have just been wanting to know more about this cancer, or talk to people who have/ or know anyone with this cancer. I had never heard of this cancer and would be nice to talk to people who know anything about this horrible type of cancer.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi, my brother Javi, died in February from Neuroendocrine cancer with metastasis. He received 4 cycles of chemotherapy that weakened him so much, he finally died from pneumonia. He lived in Madrid. I have this feeling a should have been more aware, I should have tried harder. I believe that his doctor never had given up on him. He gave him 4 cycles of chemo, but he did not test if his treatment was actually working. He did not fully discuss the treatment or the need for such aggressive treatment,  I feel devastated, I wonder how could anyone truly know the best treatment, I have some oncologists or specialists can overwhelm patients and families, rather than supporting patient and family. I cannot come to terms with the way my brother was treated, I do not know if those doctors actually did the best or just follow a useless protocol.
