Hey, I lost my dad to lung cancer on the 4th October just 4 days after being diagnosed. The pain is absolutely unbearable and at times overwhelming, but I take comfort knowing that he is no longer suffering or in pain.  Morphine is a godsend (I'm a nurse), my dad sent me on holiday knowing that he was dying and he told me when we spoke that the morphine helped a lot. Your dads body had just had enough and couldnt go on, same as my dads. I know it hurts a lot, but take some comfort knowing that he is no longer suffering 

Thanks Lauren for your message I just can’t believe it as he seemed ok the last time I saw him and he just started chemo again the week before and he died suddenly and there doing a post mortam , it’s so hard as I have don’t have no parents now and he was only 61 life’s not fair.
