I'm now on anti depressants due to my dad dying, he was diagnosed in April and died in June plus my friend hung himself in may .Finding it really hard to cope.
I'm sorry to hear about the sad loss of your dad and also of your friend. Life is really cruel at times and not much time has passed so you will still be in shock.
I lost my mum suddenly to a massive brain hemorrhage in june and I am really struggling to cope. I was signed off work for 3 months and have been having counselling as well.
What sort of support do you have in your life? I lost my dad 21 years ago, also suddenly, so I have no parental support but I do have a fantastic partner and a 12 year old daughter who keep me going.
Have you other family you can talk to? What about friends? In particular mutual friends of the friend who committed suicide?
I know there is a support centre just for those affected by suicide. I think it's called SOBS or something similar.
Also, sue ryder have a fantastic bereavement forum which I'm regularly on. It has people in there that havent been affected by cancer but by other deaths including suicide.
