My kind and generous mother has died

My mother is the kindest most generous woman i have ever known. She loved her family so much and worked hard her entire life to make sure her husband and children are ok.

In december 2018 she was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. She had been undergoing lots chemotherapy, but a few months ago, she had a CT scan and they said that the chemo did not work and the cancer had spread to her lungs.

For the past 5 days she had been hospitalised and slowly lost the ability to speak, see, eat and drink (swallow), and make any sort of movements.  As the cancer had spread to her lungs, her breathing became extremely difficult. Last night, with all the energy she had, she managed to bring me to her and she held me so tight. She was not able to say anything, but i know she was trying to tell me that she loved me.

Today, she had passed away, aged 48. She was suffering for so long, she was in excruciating pain, but i hope that she has finally found some peace.

I love you mum, and i hope to see you again one day.

  • Oh my hunny ... my thoughts are with you ... life can be so crule .. and this is cancer at its crulest ... im so glad you got that last hug .. it will stay with you always ... now your wonderfull mum will live tucked up safely in your heart ... you are half of her ... she will see through your eyes ...

There's no easy way through this pain .. the one thing that helped me when l lost my mum, was a friend who said to me .. you had more love in the time you had with your mum, then I'd ever have ... she had a mum that was never there for her .. she would never know that wonderfull mothers touch, or love ... it put it in perspective and took a tiny bit of the pain away ... we were blessed to have had them as our mum's ..

Sending you a vertual hug ... Chrissie
