Stage 4 Cancer

Hi,

My mum has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 tongue cancer.  Although radiotherapy and chemotherapy is about to commence, the success rate is only schedule to be 40% maximum.  To make matters worse, my dad has also been diagnosed with skin cancer.  The thought of losing both this year is making things difficult

  • Hiya..I’m so sorry to hear about both your parents but you’ve come to the right place where everyone is so generous with all there support and advice..

my hubby also had stage 4 cancer in the throat last year..the treatment was hard but he stayed positive throughout and we also helped him through it as giving up was never an option and I reminded him of that on a daily basis..he got the all clear last September and is now back to work full time..focus hard on getting through it altogether and aim for the date of last day of treatment..it will be hard for you all physically and mentally..there’s a couple of people with blogs on here which are so helpful and have been through the same experience..I’m sure they will be along soon and they’ll guide you to there blog pages..please stay in touch and keep us all updated and we are all here to help you through.

    best wishes

    Tina
