Hello Robb.  It is entirely normal to feel this way.  My granddad was the first close relative who died - I was fourteen when it happened - and it was a great shock and sadness to my system.  Suddenly the life I had always known was being spoiled.  He did not have cancer - he suddenly had a heart attack which nobody had expected.  You will always remember your grandfather in your heart and mind.  Sadly as we get older we lose more loved ones but they are always part of us.  Talk about your grandfather with your family - he won't ever be forgotten.  Annie
