Hi hannah
im so terribly sorry for your loss. I know how you’re feeling having lost my very lovely dad 4 years ago. I’m a bit older than you ... 39 Truth is you just have to take every day as it comes. Rely on each other and stick together ... you’ll have tough days and other days you’ll feel you can cope. My son is 15 so I know you’ll be getting ready for your exams soon ... think about your future and make it bright ... you’re mom would be proud of you. But .... always remember no one can be strong every day and all of the time. I’m sure you’re dad wouldn’t want you thinking you had to be strong all the time. I’ll bet he is probably thinking the same thing as you ... allow yourself time ... trust me it gets better. Sending you and your family love.
Hello Hannah; so very sorry that you should lose your mum at such an early age. You may like to look at a website called Winstons Wish UK which is specifically for young people who have lost a parent in this way. You are carrying a big burden and could probably do with any help you can get. Don't feel you have to stay strong all the time for everyone - talk to your family and share the burden a bit. I am so sorry that life has been so unkind to you so please do come back here whenever you want to let off steam or just feel desperately sad - as I am sure you do. TabbyQ is right - just get through one day at a time and don't look too much further ahead. Annie
