I recently lost my dad on the 13th August from a combination of copd heart failure and a benign tumor on his lungs my father survived a year after being diagnosed which with the combination of the three was fantastic. My father's end of life care given by community nurses and hospice care team was fastantic dad wanted to remain at home in his final days so all his care was provided and he was made comftable and pain free. As a family we took it in turns to provide care through the night for him. The final passing was the most peaceful way to go we held his hands as he took his last breaths. Were now in full swing with his funeral planning and he's been showing many signs he's watching us along the way. Dad had a great sence of humour right up untill his final breath. People should take peace knowing that your loved ones weren't on Thier own in their final days. Rip dad xxxx
