Hi there raeraee ... these things through the years like birthdays , anniversary, xmas, etc are all really hard, especially in those first raw years ... but when l lost my mum , and these dates would come up, I'd go somewhere, she liked .. a couple of us, would selabate it, thinking of her ... and imagine her looking down ...

I'm sure your mum wouldn't want you to stay in and be so sad ... what would she rather see, her baby sad, or enjoying life ... your mum isn't gone, she lives inside your heart ... she made you ... so do things to make mum smile down on you, and say "that's my girl" sharing a few tears, is good, it let's all that emotion out... but try to balance it by living life, and I'm sure she would smile down on you ...
