My dad died 8 years ago from cancer, I was 8 years old and now I’m 16. I was there at home when he passed, it was horrible. I miss him so much. I am not over his death even though it’s been a while. I don’t have know how to cope with it.

Hello AliceM; I am sorry to learn that you are having trouble coping with your dad's death 8 years ago. Have you tried talking to your mum or other family about this? Grieving does not have time limits; sometimes youc an think you are getting over it and then it comes back again.
It might help you if I give some details about support groups specifically for teenagers. I have been trying to put together a list of such organisations and at this time don't know a great deal about them but they sound as though they should be useful.
The first is riprap which has two sections; one for teenagers who have a family member with cancer; another for those whose parent has died from cancer. They give advice and put young people in touch with others in a similar situation.
Similarly Hope Support provides support and counselling to young people who have a family member who has cancer or who has died from cancer.

Very recently a young man called Tom, whose mum died from cancer, has set up videos on YouTube designed to help yong people who have lost a loved one. This is new but he has been very busy and it may be worth taking a look

I do hope you will find something helpful from one or all of these organisations. If you do I would be grateful if you could give me some feedback - but you don't have to! Best wishes. Annie
