Mantle Cell Lymphoma took my beautiful Mum in 7 weeks ....

I lost my beautiful mother on the 19th January this year. I took her for a GP appointment on the 28th November 2017, with what was thought to be a viral infection and my Mum was gone 7 weeks and 4 days later. She was a fit and active 70 year old lady, kind, funny, selfless and still worked full time. I can’t believe she’s gone. Her swollen glands turned out to be tumours, I took her for an outpatient appointment for biopsy of the nodes on the 4/1/18 and she never came home. It was so aggressive, attacked her, she couldn’t eat and at 5ft 2 lost weight like nothing I’ve ever seen before. We had so much hope, but she didn’t stand a chance. We are all heartbroken. I’m being strong for my Dad, her soul mate and husband for nearly 50 years. I’m looking after him and helped sort & arrange her beautiful funeral which was 27th February 2018. I was with her in hospital on my own early hours of the 19th January and I hope she knows I never left her side. She couldn’t talk or breathe properly, pneumonia set in too. Macmillan nurses were wonderful. She didn’t even get to start any chemo - it was so aggressive. I miss her so much.
