Thanks everyone for your kind words and sharing your experiences. 

I lost my mum tonight. She went peacefully with her family all around her. I held her hand the whole way through. 

I told my family I didn' want to be there in the room today as she was really struggling and it was killing me. But I was there and I was so strong! 

My mum will always be my hero and I'll be er forget her like you all! Thank you!

    Oh Lauren so sad to hear you lost your beautifull mum ... I'm so glad you found the courage to be with her ... I didn't get to the hospital in time to be with my mum and it still hurts now ... so you wonderful amazing daughter ... bet she was so proud of you ... my heart aches for you ... bless your heart ... sending a huge hug to you ... chrisie xx

    Hello Lauren,

    I am so sorry to hear that you lost your cherished mum yesterday. My sincere sympathy to you and your family.

    I'm so glad that you found the strength to stay with her to the end. As Chris has already said, I'm sure that your mum would have been very proud of you.

    I am also certain that, as the years go by, you will be glad that you were there with her, holding her hand and letting her know how much you loved her.

    I am thinking of you and your family and wishing you further strength throughout the coming months.
