Treatment for bone marrow cancer

I lost my Mum to spinal cancer, her treatment was radiotherapy and she was never offered chemo, is there a reason? I know it was classified as secondary with the original source unknown but it always bothered me, and has anyone ever heard of chemo being taken in tablet form? This seems odd.  Thank you.

  • My chemo regimen was all tablet form. CTD for multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow.

CTD is Cyclophosphomide, Thalidomide and Dexomethasone with Cyclophosphomide being the chemo drug.

    Best Regards
