My grandfather was diagnosed with 4 grade bladder cancer.

It broke my heart when being told that my 71-year-old grandfather was diagnosed with invasive high-grade urothelial carcinoma. What's worse, the Cauliflower-like tumors grow in the bladder and ureteral interface, which made it so hard from being detected that we missed the proper time of surgery treatment. Now,the tumor has already spread to the leg bone and my grandfather has just finished his first time chemo. But the doctor is still  not sure whether the treatment will work.It really causes a lot of pain after knowing that someone you love so much is about to leave you and I am completely lost.
So,what should I do?
How much time he has left?
Is there any food he should avoid?

  • Hi there ... I'm a nan and even great nan and when I was diagnosed a couple of months back ... and I saw the worry and pain and tears first hand from the ones closest to me... so befor my op I talked to every one to tell them it was o.k  .... my niece was like you as she was braking her heart , and lots of hugs and telling each other it's o.k to feel scared really helped and a lot of "l love you's " and telling every one honestly about all the feelings helped all of us ... esp my grand daughter who's just 5 asked if I would be a star in the sky soon .. I said I'd be right up there with my mum looking down so she'd always know how much l loved her .. she was happy with that and I'm now 8weeks post mastectomy and I'm still standing ... but looking back was glad we'd told each other everything ...

so hold your amazing grand dads hand and make the most of the time you have , long or short .. cos the memory will stay in your heart and no one can take that away ... I believe they watch over us and just wait till our time comes and will meet again ... I'm sending you a big big hug and remember you can always chat on here no mater how you feel as your not alone .. bless ya X
