Iv lost both mum and dad aged 64 to SCLC I'm feeling lost and lonely! I have my 6 year old daughter to look after and currently going through a separation! I'm angry and tired all the time! Anyone else been through similar?
I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling! I found out today that my brother has leukaemia, the whole family are destraught. The only thing I can really say that might help you, is spend as much quality time with your daughter as you can. She's going to grow up being able to see a strong role model which is you.
Not sure what to say really :( My mum was diagnosed in March with extensive SCLC and is not having any treatment atm as too ill. She's my only parent and I'm an only child. I have a three year old daughter to look after (but I am in a realtionship luckily) and a very demanding job to juggle too. My mum lives near me and we are very close and she is my rock and my daughter's!
I'm quite angry and tired all the time too and sad - everyday just waiting for the worst to happen and imagining what it's going to be like. We make the most of everyday together that we can, but when I'm not with her or at work I'm thinking about whether it's near the end or not etc And no idea how I'm going to explain it to my daughter when the day comes.
Not sure I'm much use to you but feel free to chat to me. Im sure you are doing a grand job and hopefully you can spend some quality time with your daughter this summer and make new, happy memories and try to move forward in small steps.
