my lovely mum died last Friday

havn't posted here since it happened but my mum lost her 20 month battle with Fallopian Cancer last Friday.

it started in the fallopian tube and had already spread to her ovaries with a pleural effusion by the time it was diagnosed.

we spent a lovely last few hours with her on Thursday evening where she seemed to briefly be the brightest / smiliest and jokey she'd been in weeks. i imagine a last release of adrenaline or serotonin.

then she sadly passed away the next morning at 5.45am

we didnt get down in time but spent 2 hours with her when we arrived.

still cant imagine ill never see her again. the world seems a different place without her. trying to cope with the biggest loss of my life

  • Very sorry for your loss Jack. You'll be facing one of the toughest times of your life. This forum helps, you can talk to people who know what you're going through. My dad passed away from cancer 23rd Nov and it seems like yesterday.

We found out in the Sept and two months later he'd gone. I'm rallying round looking after mum now and sorting out all the financial stuff etc. All very emotionally draining along with coping with the grief. But even though it's hard of course I wouldn't have it any other way. Dad knows I'll take care of mum.

    You look after yourself xx

  • it was a year ago today i lost my Mum,

still doesnt get any easier... love her and miss her everyday x

  • Hello jack2015.  You will always miss your mum and the anniversary is of course painful.  I hope you are not suffering so much and are starting to look back with love and do things like talk to her photo about everyday things without too many tears.  My best wishes.
