Welcome to the forum Thereza although I'm sorry for the reason it has brought you here and on behalf of the cancer chat team I just wanted to offer our condolences on the passing of your mum.

I understand why you might be feeling guilty but you didn't know what was going to happen and you went to see her every day which I'm sure would have made her very happy. Try not to be too hard on yourself if you can and instead try to concentrate on the time you did spend together. 

Many of our members have also gone through the process of losing a loved one and will understand how you're feeling and what you're thinking and I'm sure they will be along soon to offer their support and share their experiences with you.

Hi Thereza, I am so sorry for your loss.  I lost my dad recently too, too suddenly (his funeral is on monday).  People keep on telling me not to think about the time we spend together whilst he was being ill, as this was not the real 'him', but to remember the times we spent together whilst he was well.  You couldn't do anything to stop her cancer, like I couldn't do anything to stop my dad's.  It is heart breaking, but that is the situation well have been left with.  The fact that you are putting yourself through this mental anguish just shows the type of person you are.  You wouldn't care is you DIDN'T care.  This is a tough sea to sail.  I wish you well x
