Hi there, I'm really sorry to hear you lost your dad too! I lost my dad 4 months ago today, he was born in 1950 also. Losing a parent is really tough especially when they are still young. Do you have anyone else around for support? Your mum? I have my mum who I know suffers just like me so we can talk to each other and question the whys and how's. I've also found this forum beneficial, you realise you're not alone in what has happened. I'm not sure what MDS is? Take care

MDS is a form of lukemia, it's name is myelodysplastic syndrome.

I do talk with my mum about my dad but feel that she is also suffering as my granny died on the 20th of November (her mother) 36 days between the both of them passing away.

At first I was the strong one, but now really toiling with it all, I cry every day, I can't sleep, I hear my dad calling me, 

I just don't know what to do as I feel i'm getting worse.

Hi, I think it's only natural how you're feeling. You can't stay strong forever. You could try speaking to Macillan, they have counsellors who would be able to help. I hit rock bottom at week 5, I was very stressed with high blood pressure and heart palpitations. Maybe you will get worse before you get better, if you know what I mean. It's so tough losing somebody so close. It really does help coming on here for support.
