A Poem For Granny (Or anyone else who lost a loved one)

Yesterday I was thinking about my Granny whom passed away 7 months ago from lung/brain cancer. My poem writing skills kicked in and I started writing and this is what it ended up being...

You Are Missed

I lay in bed trying to sleep
Yet all I do is lay here and weep.
I cannot see you anymore
Because of this, my heart is sore.
Full of grief, full of sorrow
Hard to make it to tomorrow.
The first few days there's so much pain.
The tears they fall, just like rain.
Not really sure how to move on
Knowing now, that you're gone.
If you were here you would say
"Dry your tears, it'll be okay.
Although the loss of me is great
In the end this is everyone's fate.
The family needs you to be strong,
Even if it feels totally wrong.
So don't be sad, dry your teats
You'll see me again in a number of years.
God will call you home when it's your time
Just as He did with me when it was mine.""I find comfort in knowing this
That you know how much you are missed.
So I'll make it through today
Until I see you again someday.
