Family conflicts adding even more stress to grief.

Just lost my husband to Pancreatic Cancer 5 weeks after diagnosis. This has been hard enough to cope with. But waring siblings are just taking my stress to new levels. Anyone else in a similar situation?

  • Hello Tractor6

I'm so sorry to hear about the recent loss of your husband just a few short weeks after his diagnosis. I can understand how difficult this may have been for you.

It's sad to hear that family members are not helping at the moment. Grief is a natural process but it can be overwhelming and sometimes, it really does bring out the worst in people.

Is there someone within the family who may be able to speak up for you and explain to the siblings how their behaviour is impacting you? I hope that you have support around you from friends and other family members.

If you'd like to talk with one of our nurses for support at any point you can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

I do hope that things settle Tractor6 and that you can find the space you need to grieve the loss of your husband.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
