Loss of my mum - diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma and the Liver

My mum passed away on Friday (3 May), we were given the Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma diagnosis on 18 April. An otherwise extremely fit and healthy 75 year old, was poorly from mid February, which 3 GPS and A&E turned her away saying it was viral. 4 days after being turned away from A&E she was admitted to hospital with mild jaundice. Lymphoma was suspected after a CT scan and confirmed by a biopsy 4 days after admission but they could not understand why her liver was not working. They tried treatment Rituximab on Friday 26th April but her liver failure did not resolve itself.

We are struggling to come to terms with how quick it has happened and without a clear understanding from the hospital why the liver was not working but also why was the lymphoma not picked up in any of the blood tests the GP did and also A&E.
