We’ve just lost my sister who was 54 to Glioblastoma. She was a mum, daughter and sister and a wonderful, loving and rock to us all. Just 5 weeks! How do I and the family cope with this as I do not know where to start? Just thought I’d reach out.

Hi Bicep00,
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss and offer my sincere sympathy. When someone passes as quickly as this, it is a tremendous shock. The only way to cope is to take it one day at a time, or even hour by hour if need be. It sounds as if you are a close family and I'm sure that you'll band together to help one another through this difficult time. There are a number of different stages of grief and you will gradually work yourselves through them. We all cope with this in our own time, no matter how long it takes.
Keep talking about her, recalling and talking about memories of happier times.
Please keep in touch. We are always here for you.
Thinking of you and your family.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
