Wife’s death to metastatic breast cancer

On the 4th of November 2022 my wife sadly passed after a long battle . It's so difficult to put into words how I feel because I have to keep going for our young Children who are 9 and 10 . I've cried screamed and shouted out in pain since my wife got the horrible news nothing was working for her in June . So we lived in hope and tried to be normal on a day to day basis knowing what was coming . We only got married in October this year and she was so happy as we had been engaged years. She was so happy and it was my Birthday and my Daughter's . I managed to find the strength to support my wife til the end and she passed in her sleep in the early hours . My daughter did see her before she passed and they held hands and told each they loved each other . My pain and love for my wife and her love for our Children gives me strength to keep going as I have no choice . I tried to be positive and a rock for my wife while the sea was drowning me and now I have to do the same for the children. I miss her so so much . I wish I could bottle the strength I found to help people who find it hard to cope with supporting a loved one . There's help but I wanted to support my Wife and be with her . It was difficult with two kids one has Autism so he is very factual but understands and daughter is loving and caring. I'm not a religious person but spiritual so I pulled my strength from the there .

  • I'm so very sorry for your loss, I lost my dad 5 year ago to dreaded disease and my heart broke even though he was 75 ur still not ready to lose those you love. I feel ur sadness in your post, but ur children will help you find your strength.

One day at a time is all you can do, a lot of hugs from your beautiful children, and a heart full of memories, is a great healer xx
