Hi,
My dad passed away Sep 21 aged 51 after numerous trips to the hospital with severe back pain that started May 21. He had Crohns disease for over 20 years however the hospital failed to do a blood tests and instead fobbed him off to physio etc, it wasnt until he was sicking up feces that they decided to do further tests that showed cancer that started in the bowel and spread to the liver and spine. He had one dose of chemo however ended up with a chest infection. He found this out in August and didnt tell any family/friends. Although I knew some info it was a huge shock. Is this a common thing for cancer patients to do? Is it to protect the fsmily?I think even now I'm still in shock at how quick it happened and am still trying to get my head around it.
Thanks for reading
