Editing my post as I don't want to seem like I'm bashing the NHS.
But basically we've had a tough few days desperately trying to get anyone from my Dads team,or anyone involved in his palliative care, to return any calls when we desperately needed help.
I know how incredibly busy NHS staff are, and how stretched everything is, but this has absolutely terrified me. We're so lost and struggling, and you're led to believe that there's always support available, but this simply hasn't been the case for us, and I'm scared that if/when my Dad deteriorates, there will be no help for him. What if he's in unbearable pain and we can't access any help/advice?
The whole experience of the past few days has left us feeling so worn out and anxious, and, sadly, things are only going to get worse for us as a family.
Any tips on who to turn to if things get desperate?
