Brain tumour grade 4

Hi. Unfortunately my Mum has been diagnosed with the above in May 2021.  She has had surgery (removed 90%) had intensive radiotherapy for 3 weeks and had her first bout of tablet form chemo at home. Unfortunately Mum started having seizures and been admitted back into hospital as a result. The seizures have calmed down into tremors down her right arm with weakness down her arm and leg. She is going to be sent home with a care package probably this week. Just wondering if this is a normal progression as a result of surgery and if anyone else has had this experience and what we can expect going forward. Many thanks.

  • Hi Toon

I'm sorry your mum and you are going through this

I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and had surgery in July and I'm going through radiotherapy at the moment.
The brain tumour charity have a very active Facebook groups and you will get more replies. There are many types of brain tumour and a lot of different experiences. I think one of their groups is for Carers. You can phone them too.
Someone will have similar experiences to you. Mine are different so I can't help much but hope you find someone who can x
