indescribable fear ....

My husband is sick, he was diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2020, he had 20 days of radiation therapy And that's it ... a very sick heart does not allow any other treatment, I'm afraid every day ...

  • Hi Ania,

I am so sorry to hear of the position that you are both in. You must be finding this very hard. How is your husband coping with his diagnosis? It is so difficult to sit back and watch a loved one suffer, when you know that there's nothing you can do to help him. I am sure that he appreciates the fact that you are there for him and can give him the support that he needs.

Do you have any support from family or friends for yourself, as you will need some to get through this?

My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Please keep in touch and remember that we are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • thank you for the words of support, we're alone, I have to work, for now we're pretending it's okay, I know that whatever is happening is on purpose, I'm afraid, but I know I should be strong and healthy, but it's very difficult,

  • when life is hard and dying harder, somewhere there is hope for something we don't know

  • I embrace all the suffering to my heart

    Hi Ania,

It is impossible for you to be strong all of the time. Have you thought of getting counselling to help you to deal with all that is happening? You will also find that there are local support centres. Many of these are drop-in centres, where you can get some support. Maggies and the Haven are two of these centres, but your hospital or GP's surgery should be able to point you to other more local groups.

Now that you have found this forum you are never alone. There is always someone here who has been through what you are experiencing and we are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
