Mum diagnosed with breast cancer yday - any advice please

Hello,

My mum was diagnosed yesterday with invasive ductal breast cancer. I am 28 years old and I live with her and my dad so I am here to help and support her, but I have not studied medical subjects and am pretty clueless about what this means so would really appreicate any advice. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Also I am in a bit of shock so if anyone has any tips about this please could you let me know? I am battling with depression and anxiety anyway but feel like I need to be there for her and do not want to show her that I am worried.

    Hiya,

     

    Sorry to hear about your mom.  I was also diagonised 2 months and i have just had my surgery.  It is understable to panic and I felt the same way.  However, treatment for breast cancer has really advanced and your Mom will be ok.  She needs to be strong and positive and so do you.  Your Mom will soon receive her treatment plan and it will be started soon.
