  • Hi hjg1976,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm so sorry to hear of the situation with your dad. I can only imagine how tough this must be and especially for it to have happened so suddenly.

I'm not sure if you have all the information yet, but if not I hope you get this soon along with any next steps to take.

Initially, try to take things a day, or an hour, at a time and do what you need to do alongside offering any support you can to your mum. It's also really important though that you look after yourself. Keep speaking to others where you can, including using this forum if it helps to write things down and reach out to others who understand.

If you feel you'd like additional support, then organisations such as Maggie's and Macmillan are good places to start.

We're always here for support if you need it, and I hope you find the forum useful.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
