My dad lives alone,has carers 4 times a day. What will happen when he starts to deteriorate? Will he go to a hospice(I thought this is when you have 2 weeks to live).
Family will be unable to stay with him as we live far away.
I'm sorry to hear about your Dad's prognosis. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about what will happen with his care in the future.
You've mentioned that he already has a care package in place which is good to hear. As things change it may be that the palliative care team becomes involved and if your Dad needs further care input then they will be best placed to know what services are available locally and what may best suit his needs at that point.
