Dad pancreatic cancer

Hi,

My dad was initially diagnosed with bile duct cancer causing a blockage. He was admitted to hospital and after 3 attempts had a stent fitted with an initial prognosis of up to 2 years but we have since found out it's worse than thought and is advanced pancreatic cancer with a prognosis of 6 to 8 months . We are absolutely devastated and this week has been so sad but worrying in that he has had constant diarrhoea. I feel if we could get this under control he would feel better for a little while at least . Has anyone any ideas? He really wants a weekend away with us and I hope we can have this .. I can't stop crying as I can't cope with the thought of him in pain .. any advice would be welcome as I feel so helpless x

Your dad's medical team is there to help so he should keep them informed of any symptoms, if he hasn't already. They could also advice about the weekend away.
