A very warm welcome to our forum, although I'm sorry to hear why you've joined us. I am afraid that we are all cancer victims or relatives/carers of people with cancer and do not have the medical skills to answer your question.

We all respond differently to cancer treatment, so recovery can be a bit of a lottery. Did they say what type of breast cancer your Grandma has? Some types are more aggressive than others and may need more intensive treatment.

The best person to answer your question is your Grandma's consultant, so don't be afraid to ask questions. It is often a good idea to write these down before each appointment.
