Brain Mets and Lung Mets - Unknown Primary

My mother was taken into hospital in early December having suffered a seizure out of nowhere.

She was then diagnosed with brain and lung mets of an unknown primary. Our life has been turned upside down and since the WBRT she is only able to say yes it know.

I feel a sense of hopelessness at watching my mum disappear before us and immense guilt just going to do a food shop

  • Hello SarahB13

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum's diagnosis. It's obviously an incredibly difficult time for you all and it's understandable that you're feeling many different, sometimes overwhelming emotions.

Sometimes it can be beneficial to talk things through with someone who isn't directly connected to the situation and I wonder if you might find it helpful to talk with one of our nurses. I'm sure they would be able to give you some support and advice. If you'd like to chat with them they're available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Sarah and let us know how you're getting on.

    Best wishes,
