Welcome to the Cancer Chat community Rachel although I'm sorry that your dad is having a bit of difficulty adjusting to his stent. 

If you or dad haven't done so already, do be sure to get in touch with his nurse/doctor to let them know what's going on as they'll be in the best position to advise on meds that may help.

Hopefully some of our members who have been through this will share their advice and experiences with you soon but in the meantime I hope this information we have about oesophageal stents and eating will help.
