Mum has brain mets, any ideas how I can get overnight care?

So pleased to find this forum !
Mum diagnosed with brain Mets 2 weeks ago , now has a catheter in but still very mobile . My dilemma is she is very confused , I've been staying with her ( I have no siblings) but its tireing! Does anyone have any advice about how to get help with overnight care ? She has carers x4 during day .
My thought go out to everyone .

  • Hi there ...

So so sorry your going through this heartbraking time at the moment.... but you sound really caring ... well if you call Marie Currie... they often can do a few nights respite ... they are there for your mum and you ... you may have to go through district nurse to get that night help ..

But go on their site and get their phone number and give them a call and see what they can offer ... good luck ... hang on in there ... you'll always find support here when you need it ...

Sending a vertual hug.... Chrissie x

  • Hi Chrissie

Had the Marie Curie nurse in today - he says difficult to organise but he'll try ??? District Nurse suggested I put something out on social media asking - REALLY !!!!

Thanks for the virtual hugs though
