Superficial Radiotherapy - what to expect

Hi there,

My nan has been diagnosed with a basal cell carcinoma on her scalp and has been advised to have radiotherapy.

It says treatment can cause hairloss, sometimes permanent.

-> Has anyone ever had radiotherapy on their scalp and can talk about their experience?

and/or

-> Can you give any advice on how can I best support someone going through hairloss as a side effect of treatment?
